"Some Like It Classic" is a true cinematic journey through the world of longboarding, narrated by surfing legend Robert "Wingnut" Weaver. Shot in 16mm color over a seven-year period, the film explores the beginnings of hotdogging and the evolution of the most influential board designs across iconic spots in California, Hawaii, Mexico, France and Rhode Island. The documentary includes exclusive footage shot in the former Shapers Club workshop in Angoulins, offering a unique look at surfing's heritage.
A vibrant tribute to surf culture and its pioneers
The film pays tribute to surfing pioneers and cinematic masterpieces such as "Some Like It Wet" (1965) and "Some Like It Smooth". "This project was born out of my desire to show how the roots of longboarding continue to shape surf culture today," explains Romain Juchereau. "It's an ode to the visionaries who forged the spirit of modern surfing."

The evening will feature a question-and-answer session with director Romain Juchereau, allowing the audience to talk directly to the film's creator. "This is a unique chance to dive deep into the history of surfing and better understand the inspiration behind this documentary," adds Juchereau.
