Campbell Bros

Malcolm Campbell

Past, present and future come together ... in all Campbell Brothers models (three or five fins) it is the notion of fun and performance that has been at the forefront for all these years. - The past is expressed by 45 years of experience in shaping with a focus on design beauty. - The present is symbolized by the art of shaping (knowing how to translate your needs into a harmonious board), high quality stratification, as well as benefiting from the knowledge gathered from our interaction with the best surfers in the world. - The future lies in the essence of our Bonzer concept. With its inception in 1970, and its use by Bing Surfboards since 1973, the Bonzer initiated a fundamental change in the way the surfing world is viewed to this day. And through the incarnation of the Bonzer 5, we continue that change, meaning the Bonzer remains one of the most futuristic surfboard designs on the planet. Check out the best in surfboard manufacturing! BONZER AROUND THE WORLD And like the best surfers in the world (Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, Rob Machado, Joel Tudor, Taylor Knox, Brad Gerlach, Donovan Frankenreiter, the Maloy brothers...) become the proud owners of a custom board SHAPED BY MALCOLM CAMPBELL in the UWL workshops, Our vintage Bonzers are not retro when it comes to performance! (And they're certainly not meant to be hung on the wall.) We've taken everything that was good about the old models and their outlines, and quietly enhanced them with modern surfing concepts. The result is a variety of shapes that bring the past into the present, offering a totally surfable combination with today's criteria. On the longboard side, we have a variety ranging from the basic Cruiser, to the 5-fin with Elevated Wing (EB5) high performance. This board, the result of the Campbell Brothers / Max McDonald collaboration, offers you one of the best longboards on the market. Our contemporary Bonzer shortboards have capabilities that will allow you to explore your surfing in a whole new dimension of performance. WELCOME TO THE THIRD & FIFTH DIMENSION OF BONZER!

Egg

The Bonzer egg has evolved since the early 1970s. It combines the best attributes of the past, present and future. We make a wide range of them using mainly the 5 fins. They work in many types of waves. Bonzer eggs use round, diamond and squash tails.

Octafish

The Octafish is not a fish. It looks a bit like a fish, but its performance is more extensive. The Octafish has an elevated wing. The E-wing is an innovation created by Max McDonald. The E-Wing allows the Octafish to ride up and down the wave face more vertically and faster than a traditional Fish. Powered by the Bonzer 5 fin system, this board can be surfed both frontside and backside. The Octafish bridges the gap between a fish and a contemporary shortboard, and offers excellent performance in small to medium waves.

Russ short

This was our most popular Bonzer shape in the mid to late 70's. Russ Short, Duncan, Cliff Collinge and I all surfed slight variations of this model at the time. This model was pushed to the limit in all types of waves and proved to be a very versatile and high performing surfboard. The Russ Short is primarily used with a 3 fin set up, but can also incorporate a 5 fin system. The Russ Short works well in diamond, round or swallow tail.
