Ian Chisholm came up with the idea of creating a surfboard manufacturing company for open-minded surfers like himself. The process was to make quality products by hand, focusing on alternative shapes and designs.
Ian has worked alongside many famous surfers who have helped him evolve his shapes and develop his skills over the years. Today he works closely with Jason Blewitt, Craig Harvey, Ben Considine, Billy Whitton, Sam Saundermann, Ted Murfy, Molly Hoskins, Angela King and CJ Nelson to produce a range of high end surfboards, from high performance short boards to small wave riders, with function, quality and attention to detail always at the forefront.
The reason I have persisted and stayed in the surfboard industry all these years is not money, because the financial rewards are not substantial. It's really because I love meeting each person I make a custom surfboard for and the connections we make in the process. I have made lifelong friendships with my customers that I truly cherish and appreciate.
